Purlisse was born from Jennifer Yen's necessity for effective skin care products that would be gentle and improve her delicate skin. In her former life, she was a TV villainess fighting Power Rangers and had to wear heavy makeup for 15 hours a day. This wrecked her skin and caused rosacea, psoriasis, adult acne, and hives. Jennifer's skin suffered and so did her confidence. She went on an all out quest to improve and balance her skin. After trying everything, with nothing curing her blemishes, Jennifer realized that most companies use harsh ingredients that are irritating to sensitive skin.
